Starbucks' fall menu is officially here β€” pumpkin spice, toasted pecan, and the new cinnamon-cider Chaider are all back in rotation, and by now you've probably already stood in that PSL line at least once this season. If you're still working your way through the lineup, here's a different way in: three flavor pairings where Korean tea does the same thing Starbucks' fall drinks are going for, just with a different pantry.

1. Pecan Crunch Oatmilk Latte β†’ Misugaru Oat Latte

Starbucks describes this year's pecan lineup β€” the Pecan Cortado, Pecan Crunch Oatmilk Latte, and Iced Pecan Crunch Latte β€” as "nutty flavors, rich brown-buttery notes and baking spices." That's almost a description of Misugaru itself. Misugaru is a Korean blend of roasted grains, and roasting is exactly what gives pecan its signature toasted, brown-butter character. The flavor families aren't just similar β€” they're built the same way.

Damtuh Misugaru Oat Latte

  • 2 packets of 15-grain roasted powder (Misugaru) (40g)
  • 230 ml oat milk
  • Ice
  • Optional: 1 shot of espresso, for a dirty-latte version

Whisk the Misugaru into the oat milk until smooth, pour over ice, and top with espresso if you want the coffee-shop version. The oat milk brings out the same brown-buttery sweetness Starbucks is chasing with actual butter and pecan syrup β€” Misugaru gets there through roasting alone.

2. Chaider β†’ Warm Spiced Yuja Cider

The Chaider is the genuinely new item on Starbucks' 2026 menu β€” and the one people seem to be talking about most, since it's the only non-pumpkin newcomer: a chai-cider hybrid built on cinnamon and warm spice, available hot or iced. Damtuh's Yuja Tea (Korean citron marmalade) already leans into warm, spiced citrus territory when served hot β€” it just needs a cinnamon stick to complete the cider comparison.

Damtuh Warm Spiced Yuja Cider

  • 2 tbsp Damtuh Yuja Tea
  • 1 cup hot water
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • Optional: a thin slice of fresh ginger

Stir the Yuja Tea into hot water until dissolved, then steep with the cinnamon stick (and ginger, if using) for 3–5 minutes. Where the Chaider layers cider spice on top of chai, this version gets its warmth from real cinnamon steeped directly into a citrus base β€” and it's naturally caffeine-free.

3. Banana Bread Latte β†’ Misugaru Banana Smoothie

Starbucks leaned hard into banana this year with two new year-round additions: the Iced Banana Bread Latte and Iced Banana Bread Chai, both built on banana, cinnamon, and brown sugar. Misugaru already carries a malty, slightly sweet grain flavor that pairs naturally with banana β€” in fact, it's a common addition in traditional Misugaru smoothies.

Damtuh Misugaru Banana Smoothie

  • 2 packets of 15-grain roasted powder (Misugaru) (40g)
  • 230 ml oat milk or milk
  • 1/2 ripe banana
  • 6 ice cubes
  • Optional: a pinch of cinnamon

Add everything to a blender and blend until smooth. The banana adds natural sweetness and body, the cinnamon nods directly to the Starbucks flavor profile, and the Misugaru brings the same toasted-grain depth that makes banana bread taste like banana bread in the first place.

Starbucks' fall menu is built around four flavor stories β€” pumpkin spice, pecan, cider-spice, and banana bread. Turns out three of them were already sitting in a Damtuh pantry.
