We first came across barley tea at a Korean restaurant in the Chicago suburbs. Before we even looked at the menu, the waitress brought an insulated flask of barely tea, and kept bringing a new one as each one was emptied. Wonderful! We live in Amman, where I don't think we can find it. So I decided to find online suppliers and order it at every visit to the States. Searching, I can across Damtuh. I don't recall why I chose it over others, but I think things like swift shipping turnover, relative pricing, ease of ordering, among other things. But the really important thing is that Damthuh's is just as wonderful as it was at our first taste of barely tea. We've had it in other restaurants, some really upscale ones (the one where we got our first taste of it was not upscale!) and we've tried it from other suppliers, but it's not as good as Damthuh's. We drink it regularly. My wife can't take caffeine after noon, nor can her sister, but I can, and our daughter can. We drink it with them in the evenings because we love it. Our daughter takes a teabag to work with her, too. If you haven't tried it, do.
